First of all - i didn't know they ever made such a small engine.
So i cam across this ad while looking for parts for my Jetta. and instantly apon seeing the ad i wanted it - No reason why really. I mean it's 49hp... My 2.slow engine produces 110Hp..
But seriously - Look at these beauties/
http://forums.vwvo...thread.php?4755037

You know you want them.
One question pops up immediately though - Who the hell at VW Thought putting a 1L engine in a sedan was a good idea? It's just sooo small. When you can buy a lawn tractor - with upwards of 30 or more hp.. IT just makes you wonder. Anyways - Just thought i'd share.

I think they originally came in the Polo, which was a tiny little car. They would have worked alright.

I've driven a 0.3 liter car on the 401 and lived to tell about it.

In Germany you could buy a MK1 Jetta with the 1.1 L in it..

What car had a 300ML Engine in it?

I'm sorry. It looks like something a farmer put together after a twister knocked down his silo and tore up his tractor.

The only design criteria for that car was "It should be able to be driven across a ploughed field by a farmer wearing a hat, with a basket of eggs, and not break any eggs."

it's nothing to write home about.
it's homely, gutless and about as advanced as a 42 Ford tractor... these are not traits to be lauded.

That your opinion - and yes, They're not exactly very reliable... But at least with this car you could just buy a new lawnmower engine for it.
