I swear I read somewhere that in the 80s Cave Clan members would leave behind cassettes in plastic bags with recordings on them deep in drains and out of the way places of abandonments to reach out to other explorers.
I think that's pretty cool but with the internet you really don't need to do things like that.
That's true, we did... well I did.
It was like casting fishing lines trying to get a bite. The standard of explorers that we came across through the message bags was higher than the standard that would send a "I want locations" email.
We got some great bites
In regards to them not being needed thanks to the net, I think most explorers would think finding a bag from a fellow explorer pretty cool... well better than nothing.
Leaving tracts under Paris is quite popular.
