the car was in the care of the dealer. a dealership employee more or less stole the car from the dealership and destroyed the car. In my estimation, the dealer best get on the phone to Oshawa for a brand new ZL1 to be delivered ASAP.

Wow, that's fucked.

I sure hope that dealership and/or Chevy/GM enjoy all the bad publicity they are getting, and will continue to get, until they make things right.

That guy will be laughing soon enough. Sucks they totaled his car, but its likely stock or close to stock, and after a little while he'll end up getting a replacement and hopefully some other perks that he cant disclose because they f'd up so bad.

I'd still be furious, more so if it was custom as its more difficult to replace

this isn't the first time this has happened either... a couple of years ago, some guy recorded two dealership shitmuffins flogging the shit out of his Camaro SS and burning the clutch out of it.

certainly isn't the fist or last time it happens, some of you might remember one of the Porsche dealers in Montreal (Lauzon Porsche) who crashed a customers Lambo, which he brought in for a wheel alignment.

I remember that one. It was a young kid(ish) too. People were bashing him because he had more money tied up in his car and was renting a small apartment or something. I think he ended up with a replacement didnt he?

I don't see why people would take issue with a persons choice in asset balance.

There was also a case in the 90s with a Dodge dealer I think in Minnesota that ruined a Viper fresh from the factory...originally when a customer ordered a Viper, someone from Auburn Hills had to be present when the keys were handed over. However, one sales goon took it for a test ride after hours and ended up crashing it into a tree. The customer was pissed and so was Chrysler corporate; the dealer ended up refunding the sale and Chrysler made the dealer pay for all repairs on the vehicle and then some....
