Practically in my backyard. A random car lot about three blocks from where I live:

dsankt: In fact, the day I die yall are welcome to form an orderly queue and run a train on my eye sockets. I'll be dead and frankly, will not give a f*ck.
budda: That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Fuck me sideways this is insane.

Nice! I have an '83 Mexican Beetle, the body metal is about half the thickness of a German one.

I like the K Car variant as well.

Really, I had no idea the thickness of panels differed.

Did you import the Mexican Beetle yourself? or bought it here?

I found it here, the guy had owned it since the early 90s and had no idea they were never sold here, so I have no idea how it got here. The even stranger bit is, it was Mexican built and Mexican sold, but lived in Germany for some of its life as well. I found Mexican registration papers from 1984 in the trunk under the spare, German coins and parking tokens under the carpet when I disassembled the car for rust repair, as well as a German invoice for new tires from 1990 stuck behind the rear seat.

Really want this

I've always loved those and I had a really tidy one of those for a bit, they rotted out in a hurry here but mine was a Texas car.

To be brutally honest, they kind of drive like shit. A friend of mine had the same generation of Supra and I tried hers to see if it was just my car, and also wasn't impressed.

The local scrapyard called me to say they had diverted a car somebody wanted to scrap to my house.

I'm happy, but the real kick in the nuts is I've been trying to buy this car since about 2005 (when it was first parked and was absolutely perfect).

Oh well. At least it's not squashed in a scrap pile.
