I was wondering, how many folks on here have albums other than The Wall or Dark Side of the Moon? I got thinking about it today as I picked up Atom Heart Mother (which just about completes my collection of Floyd albums)... most folks know of those two albums, but Floyd produced several albums like Animals or Meddle which have long intros and outtros, with just a few songs in the middle. And actually I've found I like the stuff off these albums best. How many folks have those "other" albums?

Hey i have other albums. Piper at the Gates of Dawn is a kick ass album, gotta dig Barretts work. I like Pow R Toch how they go into that jazzy jam. A Saucerfull of Secrets is a good album and a good song. Atom Heart Mother is my faveroite with Allens Psycedellic Breakfeast. If you dont have Obscured By Clouds you should check that out. Echos is a sweet song off of Meddle, with Gilmours solo, kinda reminds me of sweet sucess. So I guess its only a few people who listen to Floyd alot............

I've got the entire official discography, and several bootlegs / live versions including the PULSE dvd. All of this is downloaded for now. I enjoy most of their stuff including everythign by syd. The only album I don't really like is the final cut, which sucked.

If you're looking for decent bootlegs, look for anything released by harvested.

There are a couple of songs on The Final Cut that I really like... "Not Now John" used to put into a fighting mood. For the most part, though, TheFinalCut always struck me as leftovers from "The Wall".

For some really weird reason, I get very very nostalgic when I hear "Learning To Fly" off Momentary Lapse Of Reason... Something about that song that really gets me in the head. Well, shit, isn't that what Pink Floyd was all about?

Learning to fly is a great song, definatly the best on Momentary Lapse of Reason.

For the guy looking for the wall live DVD, let me find you a link. I just downloaded it and I'm watching it now actually. GREAT dvd, has extras too. Quality isn't amazing, but its the best of anything I've seen of the wall live tour.

...20 minutes later...

Sorry, I can't find the damn link. I was seeding the torrent until earlier. If you want to search yourself, try http://www.dimeadozen.org (need to register (free), but lots of content) or www.thepiratebay.org (no need to register). If I can find a link for this I'll post it later, because this is an awesome dvd.

Got all 12 official albums on VINYL, if you can imagine that. LOL Have replaced 5 with CD's, but I'm in no rush. I still love the sound of an actual record. Got to say that "Mother" is probably my favorite song.

Too many excellent songs by Floyd to list here.
On a side note, I saw the "Australian Pink Floyd" tribute band Sunday. They were great! According to their website, they played Nick Gilmour's birthday party. They sound much better live than the sound files on their site.

I've been feeling funny since I went in that open crypt. Not sure what it is.

If I really can't sleep, I *MIGHT* listen to their over-long drawn out songs, but I personally can't stand 'em.
