I checked out this place last weekend, and did some night photography. I got a few shots I was happy with, before I ran out of time (plus, there seemed to still be some security).

This looks like the type of place where drug gangs might get together and make a big deal. We're talking Heisenberg stuff!

decided to revive this thread because it already has the history behind the location, and imo it's interesting to see the evolution of how it used to be compared to what it is now. given its current condition, this location is obviously not a secret and extremely easy to find. of course i would have loved to have found this hobby earlier and explored these locations when they were in better conditions, but since i'm a bit later to the game and haven't been to this location yet, i did enjoy looking around it for the first time.

1&2.

the first views from the parking lot. the building directly in front in pic 1 is the bathroom.

3.

a view of the building on the left in pic 2

4.

don't think theres a single area of this place untouched

5&6.

you can see how much the waterpark sign has changed from the previous explorers' posts

7.

another cool spot to compare with the previous explorer's posts

8.

heres the lazy river. the ground is all tagged up

9,10,11,12.

the only slides that remain.

13&14.

the walk to the platform of a former waterslide

15.

on top of the platform from pics 13&14.

16&17.

some other buildings with lots of colorful paint

18.

lastly, i thought it was pretty interesting that there was a film crew shooting a music video here. there were actually plenty of other people here while i walked around, which is a bit surprising to me because it was over 100 degrees F outside. a few taggers, a few other adults, and the film crew.

I like that you took a lemon and made lemonade out of this location.

Your shots came out great. Glad you went and checked it out.

Wow, nice shots! Your nighttime shots look kinda like daytime, only a bit weird. At least until you see the light streaks in the sky, etc.

I bet if you dialed down the WB (white balance) a bit, you'd have a more nocturnal, moonlit-looking scene.
