How about my Car, its a 95' IT has a cassette deck, 4 cylinders, 5 seats, a trunk. Thats basically it. It has AC, HEat, No fog lights, glove box (was an option), no touch screens, no gizmos. Just a Car. A straight up car. you could get it with either a VR6 , 2.Slow, Or a TDI Diesel. Reliable, and simple - Its not even fly by wire. No traction control, no abs, no 50 billion inch 16 piston disc brakes.

when i got my truck it was like traveling back through time, its an 05 b series (ranger) it was so nice to have a car whos radio shuts off when you take the key out lol

Nah, there's nothing to break and require a visit to the dealer to fix!

Although, sarcasm aside, I think a simple, no frills car would be very marketable. I'm reminded of my Won'tstart Windstar, where EVERY electrical thing, including the power windows, ran through the computer. The computer fucked up, so my driver's window wouldn't go down.

stability management? I can do without that.
traction control? never needed it.
TPMS? Oh fer fucks sake!
DRL? open your eyes and pay attention!
ABS? sometimes a skid is a good thing.

i'll go you two further, though... Power steering and brakes. Have you ever driven a car without them? What a feeling. My old Pinto had neither.

My grandfather had a '72-ish Buick Apollo that didn't have PS pr PB. It took a lot of effort to drive that car. I think it had drum brakes all around, too.

the Pinto was small enough where it wasn't that big a deal to drive without either assists. Also, it was a front disc/rear drum setup. I had a Pinto wagon rear axle in my Pinto for the 3.40:1 ratio versus the 3.08:1 it had.
there is a reason those rack-and-pinion setups were sought after for streetrods; they're very tight and precise, especially for their period.

Last thing I owned without PS or PB was a 1973 Ford F100 with a 390 and a 3 speed. You paid fucking attention.

Lots! About 50,000 Beetles, about 5,000 Porsches, a few Chevettes, a Hyundai Pony, a base model Chevy C10 (also with a manual 3 on the tree... that's interesting to figure out when you didn't know it even existed. Why does this have a clutch pedal? It has a column shifter! I think I was 16. )

Oh, and most Astro/Safari vans Fuck I hate Hydroboost.

The worst vehicle I ever drove without power assist of any kind was a late 60's Cockshutt tractor- It was unsteerable and unstoppable. I'm a smaller guy, but I'm strong, and it took every fucking bit of strength I had to just get this thing around a corner!

My '89 BMW (A european spec 325is coupe) had power windows, power sunroof, heated seats, heated mirrors, heated door lock cylinders, factory Alpine CD changer, in dash trip computer with anti-theft code, a combination lock built into the e-brake handle, an integral ski bag that folded out from the trunk into the passenger compartment thru the rear armrest- and no power steering.
