UER's Familiar Quotations < on 4/18/2014 9:31 PM > | Reply with Quote
As a noob randomly poring over the archived threads of this site, I have occasionally been frustrated by not being able to "like" or reply to some of these old posts. (Seriously, what do you DO with a post if you can't LIKE it?)
This thread is for sharing your favorite old insights, one-liners, philosophical statements, putdowns, jokes, and bon mots from the archives.
Post a quotation and the link to the original. Text only -- maybe someone else wants to start a "Best of UER Archived Photos" thread in the photography forum (if there isn't one already).

Abandoned stuff has the lowest barriers to entry, the most easily replicated cliche shots and the least legal risk associated with it. It's no surprise it's the low hanging fruit of urbex and what most people gravitate towards.

Urban decay photographs might as well be cat photographs at this point: they operate on a similar level of ritual and momentary amusement, and are ultimately just as fluffy and meatless.
