Introducing myself from the milwaukee area

Hello to this fascinating community. I'm not really new to exploring things. But I never knew that there was a name for it until recently. Now that I've discovered the urban exploration lifestyle, I'm even more fascinated. I'm no where near as adventured or as experienced as you guys but, in being around here, hopefully I can gain more adventure in my life too. I also enjoy learning a few things along the way. In my experiences with a few locations, I've found my self thinking about the physical history of the structures and the people who spend such a great deal of their time in these places. Factories especially-I think about all the folks who woke up in the morning with that being their destination. I think about the times when these places flourished because of those folks who committed themselves every day. I think about that and the stark transition into what the places are now. This is a really cool website and I'm glad I found it. I'm really not sure if I can share video on here so I apologize if I'm not supposed to. But, I wanted to have something to share with my first post This is really my first attempt at documenting a visit but I am happy with how it turned out.

WOO! Another Wisconsin explorer! Welcome!

Feel free to share photos and video of your adventures, but make sure you don't show anything that reveals the exact location; name, identifying exterior photos, address, coordinates, you get the idea.

I'm not able to watch Youtube videos while at work, but i'll give it a look once i get home!

well my video does include some exterior angles. if its characterized as identifying, I'm terribly sorry. I would remedy that any way how, i.e. taking it down or having it taken down. once people watch my video we'll see if it's too specific. I imagine most everyone in Milwaukee already knows this place anyway.

Well, there are only a few places worthwhile in MKE.. Haha. Wisconsin sucks, for the most part.

well it used to be cool. the best place hands down was in st nazianz. you know it im sure if youre from Appleton. we spent many many nights in that place. we even played a 3 on 3 b-ball match in there once. that's how 'free reign' the place was.

Never been there myself, but i definitely know about it. It's all still there, but they use a few of the buildings now. I've been thinking about shooting them an e-mail to see if i can get a tour.

the owner nowadays is real nice. people contact him from time to time. he usually guides interested folks around the buildings. rarely does he let anyone inside on their own however. this is what I hear anyway. but definitely do not go inside unauthorized. he has become well acquainted with the sheriff after all the trespassing over the years. its not a simple trespassing anymore. these days they'll charge you for entering the place and i've heard of people getting jail time for it. but the grounds are completely open to the public as far as I understand and youre welcome to go look around. the cemetery in the back is pretty eerie. its been several years since ive been that far north. but I used to live just south of Oshkosh.

I recognize that location, haven't been myself though. It's demolished now isn't it? Welcome aboard! I'm only about an hour from Milwaukee, myself.
