check out the japanese film "Reincarnation". won some Screamfest award for best film when it came out. centers on an abandoned hotel that was the site of a handful of murders and has lots of great shots of the building itself

Original post from Azenis.

Watched a couple of movies on the weekend that have prompted this post.

Thought it might be interesting to see how many movies that have included people going in tunnels

Mr and Mrs Smith: Shows Brad Pitt crawling through some RCP to get under a prison to break someone out (great security huh) and also Brad and Angelina Jolie lying under a grille in the road looking out.

Saw: There was a sign saying "raw sewerage" and I think it was meant to be in a sewer but looked more like corridors

Hellboy: Features a lot of underground tunnels drains and sewers from memory (have not seen it in ages)

Setting aside the obvious ones like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Indiana Jones and Goonies, what other movies can we think of that feature good urbexy type sets?

The list definitely needs Bong Joon-ho's The Host, which is partially set in a large underground river we explore at least once a year (usually for Christmas) and has had an influence on our rituals there.

Wow, I can't believe someone else brought up Wavelength. I remember renting that VHS a long long time ago!

Grave Encounters is a decent movie that is a "found footage" movie that takes place in an abandoned psychiatric hospital.
