Just picked this baby up. 1989 Range Rover Classic. One owner, garage kept, Summer driven only, 61K miles, electric everything, leather, sunroof, all the factory light guards and brush guard, awesome little truck. AC compressor is locked up and I have a bad CV joint, but repairs are $1,000 and I got it for $600. Wanted a Rover my whole damn life, and it rules.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

These don't have the head gasket issue Disco IIs have, do they?

A Rover has been on my short list for a long time, but I've never been able to afford buying and fixing one enough to drive it.

PM me if you want to get join our board and get fit!

Nice! Love those!

Nope. This vintage is a 231 CI Buick aluminum v-8 and they are burly, albeit prone to nonstop oil seeps.

Sweet ride man, congrats.

On a slightly related note, your posting's phrasing reminded me of this scene from American Beauty:

"It's nothing, only the smellz."
