Ok. Stupid me decided to swap my 99 Buick (Which was acting like the headgasket was blown now) for a 92 Deville with 145k on it. Seems to run and drive well but the goddamned HVAC panel and the Fuel Center won't come on. It has freon and the compressor kicks on but I can't control anything so I'm getting nothing from the vents and have no clue how much gas I have.

Anyone here got an idea?

Don't say it has a north star. Push it in the street and burn it . Or throw on some big wheels and sell it to a brother..

Non North Star. 4.9 V8. And seems to run quite well actually. Zero rust. Air ride works properly. Its greasy but other than some minor clean up and such she seems solid.

My roommate in tech school scored a 71 el camino with a 500 caddy in it that the owner thought was knocking. We drove the thing from Cheyenne,WY to Laramie,WY at highway speed and figured out it was something else. Turns out the flexplate was cracked in a bunch of places haha. Best 500 dollar motor ever. We put it in his 71 long bed chevy, thing would spin tires on both axles with no problems at all. What a beast of a motor!

i had an 84 Celebrity 2.5L that did the same thing... it was a cracked flexplate.
I also had an 81 Buick Regal coupe with a 3.8L V6 that was noisy... turned out it was the impeller in the power steering pump was very very very very loose.
