The whole thing has just been a huge embarrassment for Hamilton, even if you're not a sports fan. So many missed opportunities, all in the name of keeping a football team in town.

Possibly the first article I've read which doesn't throw the current contractors under the bus for causing the delays.

The west harbour location would have been excellent. I'd like to know how much the city spent at the west harbour expropriating and demolishing. They cleared the area in preparation of the stadium which will never be built. It could be converted into a parking garage for the GO station but that's too much of a good idea for Hamilton.

Baby like the way I wake her up, 'Cause I'm a gangsta, I grab her by the butt, Pull her to my side, I'm in deep, Woke that ass up just to put her to sleep

The Rheem factory down on Barton West would have made an excellent live/work space or something to that effect. Now that entire area is just empty and barren. I believe the entire property that Rheem sat on is now a dumping ground for dirt from downtown construction projects. It's pretty sad.

Here's a really depressing article from raisethehammer about what has happened in the area since the land acquisition, expropriation, demolitions, re-location of the stadium and future plans (if any):
