But sad for the reason it happened.

A friend of 26 years passed away a short while back. His dad had asked if I would like his record collection. Dan had asked me before he died if I wanted it and I told him I would take good care of it. Hell we used to hit the record stores together all the time. Well, his uncle was an ass and took almost all of it. I already had what was left and had added it into my shelves, and then his dad called me the other night and said they found a couple more boxes, and that he knew Dan asked me to keep them so he was calling me before his Uncle could grab these too.

I just got home and have went through the boxes. My buddy Dan had great taste, and these are bringing memories flooding back to me.

Highlights of the 100+ in the boxes include:
Flaming Lips and Henry Rollins covering Dark Side Of the Moon
Ween - The Mollusk and 12 Golden Country Greats
Beastie Boys - Hello Nasty
Green Day - Awesome as Fuck (pink vinyl)
REM - Monster
Porno for Pyros
Joe Strummer - Streetcore

Tons of others too. This will keep Dan around for a while I think.

Anyway, just thought I would share.

Blah Blah Blah. Shut up and open the damn door.

Sorry for the loss, man. So sad when someone close passes, especially so young. Dang. Definitely take good care of those.

On another note, whenever i find a phenomenal load at a thrift store, i can't help but think someone passed. Why else would anyone donate their collection!? It's a good/bad feeling.
