This Ramada Inn has been closed for several years, it's rumored that the owner wanted to change it into a retirement home but that fell through and the project was abandoned. September 8th of this year, a major fire burnt through most of the motel. (Still under investigation as "suspicious") Two days later an order to "remedy" the unsafe building was issued by the town. 10 days later the building has been partially demolished, and I don't think the remaining part is going to last much longer.

What is left is mostly collapsed, the second floor is pretty much entirely gone from the main portion of the building and everything smells like burnt mildew (not a pleasant scent, trust me.) I didn't wander too far in because everything just seemed a little too unsafe, but it was nice to get out and explore again.

I really like the eerie, drippy-black look of the porcelain in bathrooms after a fire.
