I recently found out about this beautiful Gothic Revival farmhouse in Ashland County, Ohio and decided to go find it this weekend. Sadly, it has been abandoned for decades and seems to be beyond saving at this point. There is a barn behind it that is in even worse shape. The property is in a fairly remote location with no close neighbors. Even in its advanced state of decay, there is a lot to see here and it is a great spot for photography. The architecture is awesome and there is a spiral staircase near the front door. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the history of the house is but it has been quite some time since anyone called this place home.
1. Abandoned farmhouse in the middle of nowhere.
2. Bay windows. I find it funny that they used doors to board up windows.
3. Parlor doors.
4. There were two sets of stairs in the house. One is this nice spiral staircase near the front door.
5. Remnants of the shower in the restroom.
6. Kitchen cupboards
7. Somebody liked trains. Probably a little boy's bedroom.
8. One room was full of old rotten furniture including couches, chairs and box springs.
9. One of the bedrooms.
10. Nasty couch in one of the upstairs rooms.
11. Really narrow upstairs hallway.
12. In the basement was a workbench, furnace and a few barrels.
13. A closer look at the exterior architecture.
14. Final broken chair picture.
