There's a local business in my city that owns a lot of surrounding property, a year ago they demolished 12 houses in order to expand their parking lot. Looks like the destruction doesn't end there, they also own the block of houses on the opposite side of the property and several houses there are also slated for demolition.

As I said to Intrinsic earlier - sometimes I think we're going the wrong way in the name of "progress". Some of the houses up for demolition now are perfectly safe to live in and probably have some vague historical importance seeing as how old they are..

Either way, there's no way in but I thought I'd share them on here before they are senselessly demolished. Thread is public for that reason as well.

That first house is Lovely! Grand and Beautiful .Surely...Hopefully they won't get rid of that one! I adore the 1st shot with the stone and iron fence.
The door knob and plating is just too cool.

Unfortunately the demolition is already set in stone. They're putting in a new transit system in my city and apparently these two houses need to go in order to make way for some sort of bus stop or something? I'm not entirely sure why they needed these two specifically but I have no idea why we need a new transit system period. No one I've spoken to in my city even knows why we're getting one..

I tried getting in here last year with no luck.

There's also a three-story walkup and another house that's been abandoned for years behind here.

The two houses and 2 apartment-style houses on Caroline St are still owned by SL and aren't in the demolition plans for the LRT. But yeah, they're abandoned too and will probably go the same route as Park St

On a serious note, indeed, it really will be a pity when these are gone.

that door knob gave me wood.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.
