This random little shack hiding in the middle of the woods showcases just how far some people are willing to go to get some syrup. Impossible to see from the road this place kinda looks like it was made by people who wanted to make syrup but didn't want anyone to know. I've been on sugar bush tours and they had a way fancier set up, so I guess these guys just like doing it the traditional (read: slow) way.

Costco Maple Syrup almost looks like moonshine bottles too, perhaps this is where it's made?

Sugar Bush tours are typically full-out commercial production operations. What you have found in the woods (when in better condition) would have been a fantastic home setup.

I do home production every spring, and the setup in your pictures is better then my setup.

This year I only installed 25 taps, collected 588 liters of Sap, boiled for 32 hours, and produced 16 liters of Syrup.

You can't be lost if you don't care where you are!
