Just wanted to start off by introducing myself to the community as Bumblebee, I have had the chance to meet a few of the UER regulars and look forward to meeting more.
This location has been kind of a funny duck for my exploring partner Storytrail and I up until the other week. Passing this location countless times we always came to the conclusion that there was no way it could be abandoned. Cars in the parking lot, cut grass, exterior lights with power. Nothing about this place added up, that is until we decided to actually stop and investigate. What we found screamed government cut backs. Here stood what once was a group home for children ranging from 3 months to eighteen. A bustling hub that accepted many kids from the region for many different reasons. Unfortunately the home fell casualty to the taboo subject of mental health, a subject that gets all too often over looked and in this case it was the children who lost out.

The island for misfit toys, was the first thing to cross my mind surveying the playground. Bikes, balls, hockey nets, and playground equipment camouflaged in the dense grass and cracking asphalt.

Detailed murals graced the walls and hallways throughout the entire home.

Despite the power meter reading straight 0's the building still had power inside. Luckily what was thought to be a motion sensor was later discovered to be nothing more than the green glow of the thermostat.

An interesting find, a make shift hand made mobile in the OT room still spinning on just as the world around us.

Beds left empty for over three years. The only evidence of life can be found in the odd photo and scrap of scribblings found swept into the corners.
