There's a large factory complex in the process of /being slated for demo or asbestos removal. I didn't get the chance to see it myself because there was no guard in the office today.

Here's an image.

It's just behind the parking lot for the Guananoque boat tours customers, and has an entire complex the same size as the factory (probably once attached, I assume office space.) and still mostly intact. If anyone's in the area now would be a good time to ask prior to this building being wiped off the map forever. Since it's a small town I also assume it might be simple enough to just ask for permission, without much suspicion or anything.

Gananoque, ON K7G 2L4

Wow, this place looks intriguing! Does anyone else on UER have photos to contribute? I'd love to see a glimpse inside.

Emergency Resolved.

It's been completely and immaculately gutted though (even all the plumbing and stalls has been removed); do they actually do that before a demo? Whatever the case there are still ramps into the building and construction fencing is up, as well as boards in piles on the second floor.

As for the inside it's quite a massive space, but also just a lot of empty rooms so I didn't bother posting them all.

This is the engine for the elevator, quite majestic. If you peek through the floorboards you can still the actual lift on the third floor.

Basement was completely flooded.

I just noticed this, had forgotten for a while but I'm glad someone got in. When I saw it i didn't really have my equipment, it's next to a busy tourist depot so i couldn't exactly have snuck in, plus since it was a family trip i didn't have the time, shame it's gutted now, but the architecture is still pretty nice.
