In my opinion, CCDs seem to provide better subtle tones in general and I prefer the way CCD pictures turn out. Your thoughts?
CCD A.
1. gradient of sky, then the cement underneath looks great.
2.
3. (this is an ISO 1600 shot in sodium light, while walking. Picture is poor, but given the conditions, the skin tone, sky range looks good)
CMOS5
6
7 It just kinda looks flat.. and gradients on upper and lower extremes of brightness are just so so.
From a 9 year old CCD camera. Got this one used for like $15. Tones glass, brick and white shadows are decent.
yet another camera
I put some batteries in this thing..
left side with that thing, right one with Nikon 1... and it still looks like the shadow details are in favor of CCD.
