Abandoned Mini Golf and Go-Kart Track Burnt down

This track in Ottawa Ontario was owned by Tim Rivers, who shut it down a bit back. While it was open, it was featured in a movie (Romantic Comedy, Undercover Angel).

Recently, this news report was released and the building was burnt down. I never got inside it, but I though I'd share a few shots from outside, and of the mini putt and go kart courses.

Here are a few photos I've taken.

A view of the ticket booth, heavily gratified, but all the rules and regulations of the track still up! This booth is the only standing structure (or, was, as it was burned down) on the premises, acting as a canteen, ticket booth, and it had a garage that held the go karts and mini gold equipment!

Here's a low shot of the building form the go kart track. This gives you an idea of the overgrowth (not too bad, but present) on the go kart track. The front of the building you're seeing is facing out right onto the track, and is the garage where go-karts stayed when not in use. The go karts have since been sold online (when the track closed down).

While walking around the go-kart track we found presumably the business' old cash register (no, there wasn't money in it!)

Just to give you an idea about the condition of the mini golf course. Everything was torn up and pulled apart, but still there. small trees had started growing out of the holes, and the wooden benches were in a very poor state.

Also, there was a driving range at this spot, I guess so the parents could practice their swing while the kids played mini-golf. It was so overgrown it was hardly identifiable and not worth photos.

There's an article outlining what happened to it. It seems it was subject to arson, mid-july at 2.30am. I didn't hear about this until a week or so ago. Quite the shame, it was a nice place.

It also says the arsonists burned down a townhouse leaving six people homeless. ):

That's a link to the imdb listing for the movie that had about five - ten minutes of it filmed on the go-kart track there.

With all the mini putt parks we find. I keep thinking I should keep a putter and ball in the trunk. Digging that cash register.

In the rain or in the snow got the, got the funky flow.
