1. Outside view of the Baker Hotel

2. The Fireplace in the Baker Suite (note the ceiling)

3. The Columns dividing the room. I love them!!

4. The lovely door into the library.

5. The library

6. The cabinet just out of the kitchen (presumably dining room) with a hidden door to hide the hooch!

7. Presumably the front door entrance to the suite. Heavy solid wood beautiful door.

8. The not so impressive kitchen of the Baker suite. But then I imagine they didn't really have to cook.

I'm sure most everyone here has heard about or seen the Baker but the Baker Suite is my favorite part of the whole place.

Exploring since I was a teen. Always looking for some "new" old abandonment to explore and photograph. Afraid of snakes, clowns and teethy animals.

This has always been a place i wanted to see and go into all the rooms. Thanks much for bringing us into the suite and library. Love the nook to hide the hooch, lol. The columns and colors in 3 are my fave.

Thank you very much. It is sad that I had so many pictures that I haven't finished them up in close to two years. I've been working on them quite a bit in the last few days so I'll probably post more of just the general hotel. The Baker Suite was just my very favorite. You know, it is said, that the son of the original Baker who had taken over the hotel died in one of these rooms. I also have pics of his mistresses room which I believe was on another floor. I think she killed herself because he would not leave his wife. Her bathroom was the only one in the whole place that was purple. I've been endlessly fascinated with that place for years and years so it was amazing to finally get in and spend some time wandering about.

I've been back a couple of times since but haven't had any luck. Just did a fun little photo shoot outside of my daughter who wanted some "crazy pics in a prom dress in front of the Baker" LOL.

So here are a couple of examples of that. I actually suffered heat stroke that day so they are not all they could be, but still fun. I have more photoshop work to do but I'm backlogged so they are sitting in the queue half done. She was happy enough with them this way.

I've always loved the Baker. I've been in there several times and haven't ever taken one picture. Wish I had. It's so cool to walk the stairs that presidents walked and the fire escapes Bonnie and Clyde snuck up in the back. Even falling down it's an awesome place. Hopefully, they can get those loans to redo it. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely daughter you have! Awesome dress!! Post up anything you have...especially of the mistress room and bathroom. And, tell what history you know. I find it all so intriguing. I just saw another splendid pic of IndoAnomaly at the Baker...He must of got really inspired there and bared it all. (Latest Pics)

Oh mercy. LOL. How risque!!

I'll happily share all I've got and what little history I know. I have an album on Smugmug that has more images. https://jordankrea...o/The-Baker-Hotel/ And I'll hopefully be working on them more through the weekend. I'm the worlds worst at shooting a place and working up a few shots and then shooting something else and moving on to them and leaving the others just sitting.

I'm really return for a return trip soon. I'd love to do an overnighter. That would be awesome!!

I will have to check out IndoAnomaly's shots and find his bare all moment.

Took me a second, but I know exactly where that is! I was always curious about how it looked inside. The facade is gorgeous. Used to pass by it several times a summer head to one of the local lakes. Thanks for the photos!

Looks like somebody tagged the front wall pretty big since I was last there and also broke the damn tv (which was one of my favorite things, now it looks like Elvis has visited), but I didn't put either of those in my Baker Suite set. The Baker Suite didn't look all that different to me.

Congrats on your recent visit! The pics are awesome! I totally can't wait to go back. Unfortunately I had to skip several floors because my accomplice was on a time limit. But I'm hopeful for the next time.

I'm glad you enjoyed them CubSmurf. That's how I originally became aware of it, by passing through on road trips to other places. It always towered above the whole town and I always wondered and speculated about what it was (like it was too much trouble to detour around and find out...lol) I guess maybe you were heading out to PK in the summers. I only went there one summer...I call it the summer I visited the face of the sun.

No, no. I meant from looking at the other pictures you took.
