Someone went a step further in the past year or so, however, and took the actual plaques.
That couldn't have been a simple task, says Reynolds, as the embossed designs were cemented into the side of the building.
"Whoever did it must have used a gas cut-off saw," he says. "And it probably took two or three guys, because they would weigh quite a lot."
The landowner has notified the OPP of their absence and is hoping someone will come forward with knowledge of their whereabouts, or the party that removed them will recognize they made a mistake and voluntarily return them.
