I know I'm already on this thread, but AREA 51, am I right? Massive top secret military research base in the middle of the desert that's the center of hundreds of conspiracy theories, that would be AWESOME to explore after a good few years of neglect!

Willard Asylum. Half the buildings are abandoned and the other half are used as a state prison. It would certainly be bad to be caught trespassing.

I would definitely want to explore an abandoned nuclear power plant. If the radiation wasn't apeshit, I would definitely explore the Chernobyl power plant and it's neighboring buildings. Anyone else a fan of the Stalker series?1.

I've looked into exploring Chernobyl and the radiations levels, and the risk of radiation poisoning/radiation related illness is very low. I don't remember the statistic exactly, but due to wildlife returning and whatnot, the radioactive soil sinks down about half an inch underneath new soil every year. Don't quote me on that, but I know that the radiation is all in the trees and not being emitted at a harmful rate. So if you go, don't touch a tree or eat a leaf.

thanks for giving it a try

I know some people have been to the area of Prypiat, the town nearest Chernobyl. They featured it on the show Life After People on History. Other people have been there as well. Here is one groups story:

Sounds like you would need to get permission to enter at the checkpoint to the "exclusion zone". It's not to likely you're going to get in on foot since it's quite a hike. They drove there on a episode of Top Gear as well.

Closed and vacant for the last five years but heavily patrolled by the State Police and on-site security. Also sealed like a tuna can.

2. Every Chipotle

3. Every vape shop

I know I'll catch some hell over these, but those are my top 3

This hotel in Riverside, CA, the Mission Inn. Only ever been inside once, since it’s crazy expensive to get a room and someone I knew was staying there. There’s tons of cool architecture and winding, sprawling grounds. My favorite is all the spiral staircases, some that are seemingly randomly placed. Reminds me of the Winchester Mansion with all the variation in building. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking it out even though it’s not abandoned. Might just be able to sneak past the front desk if you’re confident enough (or if it’s busy enough to provide cover )

This place, ideally.

1111 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20224

Joking aside, a lot of those kinds of buildings would be really cool to explore.
