Originally scheduled to open in 1918, the 3-story stone school building was commandeered and used as a temporary hospital and morgue during the flu epidemic of 1918, when the local hospital was unable to accommodate the large number of victims. In May 1919 the building became a high school. The school remained in use until 1986 when it was replaced with a new facility.

This place is great. The owner is alright too. He's been trying to restore and make it a place viable for some sort of business' for some time. But he's not making much progress.

Strangely enough. I know someone who to elementary school here. And he's not that old, in his early thirties. I think he was the last class there. Kinda neat.

He had this teacher too. It was cool talking to someone about having memories of an abandoned place you visit.
Wow. It's amazing how much that room changed. You should see it now.
One of the teachers lives right across the street. He taught here for about 32 years. It was pretty neat talking to him. He did tell me it later was converted to an elementary school.
