Hi guys,

New guy here, just wondering if there are ever any meets in the Ottawa area. Although i know there aren't many abandoned places around. It'd be nice to have a group here rather than driving up to Toronto for meets.

well im in the ottawa area for a while now. not much to see but go out and explore, drive the outskirts

That picture! Is that house in Ottawa? Have you found many sites as of yet in the area? I guess the UER DB doesn't have that many places. Time to explore and update it!

Its near Cornwall. i spent last weekend driving around the country for 9 hours. Left at 8am. I've done some research to find places and some were found along the way.

That's a great idea! I should go for a drive and find some spots. I'm in Rockland so basically far from everything. Were you able to enter that house in the picture or were you simply scouting for now?

There are a handful of places along Innes that we'll probably be visiting Saturday.

I know of the farm near Frank kenny and the old mill at the creek on St joseph. I drive up innes often, i guess i haven't looked well enough.

There's a farmhouse with some barns east of ottawa that was one of my favourite finds. From what I was able to find the owner left to go back home to Europe for family reasons and left everything behind. When I was there it was ransacked but all still there. Neat place. Been a while since I was there though. If you are interested send me a PM.

There is a couple farms between kanata and Carlton Place that have been abandoned for some time. I plan on check them out this weekend

There are a handful of urban sites I'm aware of. Definitely more risk that way, but it's really worth it for the ones I've been to.

Check this place out last night quickly. Must say, I'm not a fan of taking pictures at sunset. I'm not good with the lighting. Then again i don't have a good camera yet.

It's a pretty nice barn though, what camera are you using? They're nice shots, too bad for the lighting. Was that place off innes?

No its off Highway 7 you can see it from the road at the end of speedway road. Honestly i'm just using my camera on my phone and using some editing software that my phone has. I want to invest in a good camera, in time eventually.

Any of you have seen the big barn at the corner of O'-toole and Innes? Seems abandoned. Might be a nice spot to check out.
