Odd looking building in Upstate NY any guesses on what this was? At first I thought old mill, but I think it's more like hippie/commune building or? Driving past it tomorrow, but since there are houses across the street and it would be hard.

	No fences. No signs. Hell, no doors. Check it out! If anybody says anything, play dumb. Tell them you (based on your age) are/have gone to school for architectural engineering and you find it a fascinating structure and ask if they have any background info. Go in with a camera around your neck/in your hand and no bag or anything looking like you might be stealing/vandalizing the place. Anybody inclined to look out for the place will be happy to talk to you about it. I'm the biggest wimp for hopping fences or anything like that, but this is just so inviting! Nothing to worry about here

	Looks VERY homebuilt to me. Old hunting or fishing camp maybe, commune is a possibility, perhaps even one of those little roadside store/bait shop type things. They can be fun. Step up and check it out.

I was escorted away once, when I pulled over. I used the excuse I needed to look at my map for directions, the lady said follow me I'm headed that way. Didn't get a chance to inquire about the building. First floor does look like it could have held a shop, but it's in the country. The building across the street is equally interesting. Notice the double doors, not common for a house.

The story gets weirder. Took a quick look today since I was in the area. Right side of building didn't give up any clues. The left side however has a diner. Now I really want to know what's in the upper building. I was just pulled off the side of the road, so I didn't do any serious exploration.

	Never opened as a business. The person who owned the building was a little eccentric, but skilled at construction and had spare material around.
