Four years after visiting the iconic wet-rot home on the way to Port Colborne, I returned for a 2nd look. This time I brought along a scaly and furry friend. Things have really degraded here - it is now impossible to enter the house with any appropriate 'reasonable risk'.
A little throw-back; here are three photos from a few years ago. Unfortunately the wedding photos that were sitting atop the antique television are now in the basement, and it is impossible to take another photo of the awesome bedroom, as there is no longer a way to get upstairs.
When I first posted these photos in 2012, I was actually contacted by a grand-daughter of this family who wanted to see more. Because she was only in her 20s, I thought she was young enough to not get offended and engaged her in conversation for a day or two. This was near Thanksgiving, and she told me she was going to ask her relatives about the abandoning of the house at the family gathering. She promptly cut communications with me immediately after.

Nice set as always.
The granddaughter cutting communications after your query must really pique your curiosity, you know there has got to be some sort of shady background story...!
