I don't think anyone will admit it but our M60 was inspired by that MG34 (or MG42 maybe)

The M60 utilizes a ton of the design features from the M60, most directly the feeding system. They borrowed the bolt design from the German FG42 as well. When you look at the receivers from the MG42 and M60 side by side you can see the family resemblance. Too bad the M60 wasn't half the gun the MG42 was.

That'd be cool, seems like it'd be perfect for some close up work within 100 yds.

.357 carbines are all over the place but it seem like only in lever actions, I had a Ruger 44 mag gas operated, great little rifle only held 5 rounds. The 357 seems left out. If you can find a pump carbine called the Timberwolf, made in Israel by IMI, it came in 357, they were marketed to farmers as a cheap carbine designed for shooting pests both four and two legged variety.

Ruger discontinued the 77/357 and 77/44 last week. I managed to nab a .357 from the distributor I go through before they ran out at least.

Now to file a form 1, chop it to 10.5," restock, inlet, and attach a suppressor.

See you guys in a year lol. Freaking ATF. This is putting back my cavhind gun buy by $3k all said and done.
