How does almost $2000 sound?
I hit a huge raccoon night before last. I was going 40-45mph... It just nuked the front fascia, understructure, foglight.
Have to get an estimate tomorrow morning... The Cruze is cursed.

I wish sometimes that the "Molecular Bonded Shell" that KITT has in Knight Rider actually exisited...imagine that raccon instead take all the damage

the guy I talked to this morning at A&S Customs in Crown Point NY took on the repair job for $300. My deductible is $500 so I chose to pay for this out of pocket. Just pisses me off that a small furry can do so much damage.

My aunt's Civic basically had to have the entire front end both cosmetically and mechanically replaced after she hit a raccoon.

got the car back today and true to his word, it looks like it never happened.
As this Cruze is probably the last car I will ever own, I asked him to do an estimate on fixing the rockers and front of the quarter panel where the paint has been blasted over. He quoted me $800 to repair it using the tabs from GM and a material that was originally intended to minimize blast damage to the front of motorhomes. Altogether, the estimate was $800, but the work is guaranteed. So, I need to start saving to preserve what's left of my Cruze.

I just got back from the body shop, got rear ended last week at a stop light. $1200 and four days in the shop.

Did they at least damage the rusty 1/4 panel?

It's a 13 year old car. Glass rusts here in 8.

It was also hit in that corner. The other side is fine.

Sadly it was hit on the passenger side, but I've cleaned up the rust and will be welding in a repair over the winter. Just dropped it off at the body shop today, should have it back Friday or Tuesday. In the mean time I've got the VR6 and will try to keep my license.

shit.... cruze , im really fucked up.

I had a raccoon try to headbutt the drivers side intercooler on my S4. If I could have found a bumper... that was $800 unpainted , minus I/C duct and grill, and foglight. I repaired the bumper and grill myself, and replaced the duct and foglight for about $200.
