Hi all,
I want to start shooting video of my underground explores as well as some of my motorcycle trips and outdoor Dutch Oven cooking. I have been starting to gather some basic video gear and shooting some test footage both above ground as well as below. There is a learning curve and I've had mixed success with both. Of course editing is a craft in itself.
Because I'm a bit of a nerd, I've been reading and watching YouTube videos on filmmaking as well as other channels in the outdoor activities genre. I though I would share a couple of YouTube channels that I have found informative for those of us just getting started in video.
How To *
Basic Filmmaker - Beginning filmmaking tutorials
*
Justin Brown - Editing, hardware, software, techniques
*
Film Riot - Movie making, special effects, advanced techniques
Hardware / Software Reviews *
The Photo/Video Show - Hardware reviews
*
DSLR Video Shooter - Video hardware and equipment "hacks"
YouTube Specific *
Video Creators - YouTube specific information
Hopefully I'll have some mine exploring videos to share in the not too distant future.
