Doing my best helicopter impression at Lava Mountain

The wagon wants to go up there and take so many photos!

Just got the wagon back from the body shop tonight.

I was really hoping to have it back on Friday when I was supposed to so I could've done some more work to the front end, but for now.... dat ass! I fucking love my car

Next projects:
- repaint front end while I save for a proper paint job
- tint the windows (which I can do)
- weld in repair for the rusty rear 1/4

My 3-pedaled, snail-powered Swede. 232k. Started its life as an automatic GLT variant, is now as close to being an R without the AWD as possible.

Some of the rest of the fleet:

L to R: 08 Heep CompASS. Current daily since it has A/C and the Volvo is getting brake and suspension work.
BF's 2000 5-speed-swapped Navigator with a 3" body lift. Now currently lowered back to just above stock height.
99 ProjectVolvo, donor car for my wagon and soon to be CamperVolvo. (99 R with headgasket issues formerly driven by some hoonigan that drove the poor thing by feel and fucked the front end up. Hardly an undented body panel on it.)

Not pictured:

02 Stang (in the middle of a rear end swap)
64 4-door Galaxie 500 (BF's family heirloom car)
00 POS Audi A6 (twin-snailed AWD 6 speed.... with the fucking trans that was known for locking up the shift collars. Fuck that car with a rake)

Quite a few nice cars posted thus far!

Here is my small collection:

2001 Buick Regal GS. 3800 Series II Supercharged. 147k miles. Fully loaded. Daily Driver.

1989 Pontiac Grand Prix McLaren/ASC Turbo. 3.1 Turbo V6. 168k on the body. 1 of 749 made in 1989. 5 speed swapped, complete brake upgrade, motor all gone through. This has been my toy/project car/money pit for going on 10 years. I will have this car until the day I die most likely.

1992 Ford F-150. 300 Straight Six. 2WD. ~400k miles. Mainly used to haul my quad, go on junkyard trips and other miscellaneous truck things.

2003 Polaris Trailblazer. 400cc 2 stoke. 2WD. Last year of the 2 stroke motors. This thing flies!

this is my fathers' 96 F150. It's hard to believe that this truck has over 200,000 miles on it, especially having spent it's entire life in Northern New York state... My dad has put a ton of work (new box, fenders and doors) to get this back into the pink again. The green is called "Emerald Flash" and it was a color available on late 90's Mustangs. The silver is a bright silver metallic he mixed himself.

Bandi - question, as you're in Ontario, how can you afford to insure so many cars? I'm contemplating keeping my 2011 Mazda3 as a winter driver, but the cost to insure both is nearly $500/month with State Farm, and a mostly untarnished driving record.
Do you keep all but a few with only fire/theft, or is there some special multi-car policy I should know about? State Farm, as good as they are when it comes time to file a claim, are totally fucking useless.

tera, I have had state farm for over 14 years and they have always been responsive to my claim needs as well as cost when I had the Ranger, Subaru, Cruze and Suzuki ATV insured through them.

Is that there much difference between the US and Canada? or is it an Ontario thing?

I looked at insuring the VR, and I think it was only an extra $60 a month on top of the wagon? Historic insurance is also fairly cheap.

If you're still in the GTA it's going to be more expensive.

I just ditched State Farm after 11 years (Ever since the Desjardins takeover, they have been useless) and switched to a small company in the Muskoka area, who were able to cut my rates in half. I'm paying $1100 a year for 4 cars, full coverage on my two classics, full coverage on the '99 Bug and just liability on the truck. And they seem to be okay with me changing cars as frequently as socks.

I got a parts Pony!

It was rear ended in 1994 and left in the woods after that. It's so rusty, the bumper goes up and down on the driver's side when you steer the car, because the steering box just moves the frame rail up and down now.

BUT- I got it running with about 10 minutes of work (cleaned the points, freed up the throttle and poured some gas down the carb. Oh, and stuck a battery in.)

Everything electrical works (the wiring is basically marine grade on these things), and it has some interior trim bits I need.

That's impressive milage on your friends GTP!! The LQ1 is a good motor, but it does need it's fair share or work, timing belt in particular, and they are not the easiest things to work on. Not to mention those cars rot out quickly. Not many left around me. Love that F-150 as well! Very sharp truck!

I couldn't look at my front bumper without wanting to set the Wagon on fire, so I gave it a bit of a temp paint job...gotta get my new bumper painted in the spring, but it's a bit easier on the eyes:
