I am sure the story here must be a distressing one. Even in the event of a major financial meltdown, most people would still try to get everything that wasn't nailed down. Instead they left what appears to be everything. You would think that if any of those people are still around, they would have gone back to get the valuables and the keepsakes. Coulda been something horrible going on in that house that everyone wanted to forget... violence, abuse, sexual abuse. Could be one dark story.

But yeah, pic 032 was amazing and disturbing all at once. Amazing set!

So I visited this place about a month ago with lowkey and figured I would share some of my thoughts and a few updates for anyone who is interested.

I have never really bothered with houses in the past, but after visiting this place and a few others I am hooked to say the least.

This house as well as Sandra and her family have been stuck in my head since my visit.

I have spent several hours doing internet research on Sandra and Frank, who seems to have owned most of the cars and I believe was Sandra's father. I have come up with nothing online I can link to either people. The only Sandra with the same last name appears to have lived her life in Indiana and New Jersey and is in her late 40s, about 10 years older than this Sandra.
The only relative who seems to be in the area still is listed only under the initial "R". The phone number for "R" matches the one for the address of this house and he or she seems to be the one handling the estate in some way or another.

A few things to add about the house and it's contents.

1. Sandra appears to have been living in this room until the mid 00's. Birthday cards pinned to the cork board next to the bed wish her a happy 27th birthday and are dated October 2005. A Finding Nemo (released 2003) snow globe sits on the shelf in her room.

2. The family pictures you posted all seem to have vanished. I saw no family photos whatsoever while I was there. Perhaps a family member returned to get them, or perhaps others have pilfered them over time. Other items pictured in your post are also missing or buried somewhere in the mess.

3. Shortly after my visit this property was removed from all real estate websites. Perhaps it sold, or perhaps the listing expired.

I have been unable to come up with a good theory for why Sandra and her family vanished. Why everything was left behind. Or even why Sandra would have been living in a room essentially unchanged since high school when she was 27.

I was discussing this house and the mystery with a few friends over the weekend. My one friend suggested that perhaps the family was put into some sort of witness protection program. Something that unlikely I would normally dismiss immediately. However in this case it honestly makes more sense than anything I have come up with.

I do have some shots from my trip, including several of the cars on the property I can post if there is any interest.

Also, if anyone has any additional information feel free to PM me. I don't know that I will ever solve the mystery of Sandra, but I am not going to give up trying!

First time seeing this thread here. All I have to say is those pictures are incredible. I think its what we all dream of when we explore, to open a door to a room and find it like that where you know that no one has been there for sometime. Very nice work. Yes it is strange that it looks like they just up and vanished with no warning. It certainly leaves the people afterwards wondering why or what happened. Maybe one day the mystery will be solved, but for now we can just wonder at the possibilities. Nice work, and good luck in your search for answers.
