yeah... that's why I pointed out the 94/95 euro E36. If I get an M3, its most likely going to be 95 or older because the OBDII came in the 96 model, I just have to make sure that I can find a '95.

I'd take the later E36 engine (the 3.2L |6 which was made 1996+) and drop it in there

The S50B32 can be "converted" (for lack of a better term) to work in an OBDI car.... emissions testing might give you some trouble so you may have to throw on some cats before you have it tested... it (the 3.2) really doesn't put out more hp than the S50B30, but when turbo-ed the difference between the two can run up to about 40-60hp and the S50B32 has more torque even when not turbo-ed. Sorry about my previous post not going into detail.
