I can't imagine what this pool was for? Seating for 5000. Was it something like the Olympics? Looks like a lot of people met here for games/ swimming events and not the average Summer Hot Spot. An interesting place.

It was built by Springs mill for employees and families and yes I think they did have competitions there.. but not Olympic. The pool stands out like s sore thumb on google earth... made it easy for me to find

I have tried to go there for years now and still haven't done it. I always end up finding something else along the way and get sidetracked. Nice work!

It is hard to stay on course in this area .... there are so many places. I am usually end up stopping at unexpected places as I pass by.

At this park there was a skating ring, concession stands, bathroom showers and changing rooms for girls and boys, putt putt courses, concessions for food.. there are a couple of kiddy pools, and I think there was some kind of ride like swings or something.. unfortunately it's so dilapidated and in such bad shape really the only thing there is the pool, diving board and the filter room...
