I'm sorry - I didn't see this. I would have at least wished you luck in our extra hellish post bridgepocalypse interstates....and side roads.

Hope you had a nice time and found some spots - if you aren't afraid to get shot, raped or mamed - this city has a lot on the SW side

I guess the guy that started the fire was smoking crack? he should get clean god is not going to give you many messages like this one!!!

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

ah yes....our local crackheads....they are special aren't they? Well yes, there were three people smoking crack per their own admission. One thought it would be cool and literally said, "Hey ya'll, WATCH THIS". Yeah, NOTHING that starts with that ends well. Well, according to his crack companions, this is when he put a couch on top of a plastic Target cart and lit that sucker UP. Thus starting the second burning of Atlanta.

There is a bit of a BS game at play though. The GA DOT was storing petroleum based plastics AND conduit under a BRIDGE. Only secured by a chain link fence. Yeah...top notch. Anyone see the problem here?

Its been in a "DOT sanctioned storage area" DESPITE being a FIRE HAZARD and fineable anywhere else....for over a decade. It was a matter of time and the DOT is just scapegoating the crackhead. Was it wrong to set fire to a couch on top of a plastic Target shopping cart? Sure. No brainer there, but there should not have been items that could perpetuate that kind of structure damaging inferno stored under a CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE BRIDGE!

No one here is buying it either. There are calls for heads to roll at DOT. The DOT is just walking away from it though. Shameful.

When I get my happy ass up in the am (sarcasm), 4:30 AM to be precise, so I can make my commute, I check on construction. Every. Day. It was promised to be around the clock. I don't see any darn construction crews on that bridge. I pass it via the detour every day. If I'm up trying to deal with the chaos and help everyone out by getting off the road at peak hours - they should be out working on the bridge. 24/7. No breaks. MOVE IT and fix the bridge that crippled Atlanta. It's CRAZY and people are still hot headed cutting each other off, going the WRONG WAY DOWN STREETS, I've even seen one jerk driving half on the road, half on the sidewalk to avoid long lines. Takes me almost an hour to get two miles from work to the interstate that IS open.

ok....I need to stop ranting....deeeeep breath.......DEEEP breath........find my happy place.....sorry. I'm just so stressed out and tired. I need to adjust.

Just avoid ATL for the time being if you can. Save yourself! There is no longer a good time to be driving inside the city perimeter. Its gone all to hell.

Thus starting the second burning of Atlanta.

That first burning was due to the Yankees just being Yankees, nothing new there.

This second burning though??
I expected better of the crackheads. ; )

Yeah I'm not buying the whole "crack head" theory anyway. We know it was MARTA behind this mess. They have been trying to boost the ridership numbers for years now. All too convenient their largest facility is literally across the street from this so called disaster and only a short few blocks from the Limburg bunker nefarious command center. AKA "The Headquarters". Spring break? Stadium opening? Coincidence,I think not....

and another bridge on fire this morning.....*sigh*....not far from the first. Again in my commute path. Hopefully this will not have a permanent effect on roads closing. Since it is a railroad track bridge, I wouldn't think so but when I heard another bridge was on fire - I was like WHAAAAT? Someone's trying to make Atlantans just go bat shit crazy...we were already on the edge...*PUSHED OFF EDGE*

I'm not generally a person who thinks things are a conspiracy etc, but if you watched how this last fire was burning - it looked like arson. I think someone set it. Why? dunno. Lots of dumbasses in the world who think that sort of thing is funny. I do NOT and instead of jail, those people should have to commute back and forth ALL day. I swear that shit is worse than sitting in jail.

Gotta laugh though. What else can I do? I still have to go to work. Pesky bills to pay.
