	The city of Hamilton decided to hold an open house of Auchmar Estate this weekend, to celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday. The last time the estate was open to the public was 2012. While this was a typical "Doors Open" type of event, Auchmar is still in a decaying state which made for an "Abandonment" type atmosphere. 	Damn I wish I was paying attention to the events calendar! I would have checked this out for sure. But at the same time, your photos give a nice tour.

	Wow, the first half of the place looks almost pristine! Even the finish on the doorway's wood trim stills glows underneath the dust. Love the chandelier shot. The bricked-up fireplace is rather curious.

	I wish they kept this on a doors open list - every year. I think it was open in 07 or 09 and it was in much better shape.
