Leaflet for Interactive Maps

Hello!

I realize this board hasn't been active for a few years, but there must be some 'cartophiles' around here still, right?

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience working with the open-source javascript app Leaflet to display old maps georeferenced with modern base layers. I have found it to be extremely useful for creating an online interactive map that include a number of different layers and types of data. In general it is smartphone compatible and can be used with GPS, and this really helps in locating points of interest.

If not Leaflet, are there other platforms that anyone uses for a similar purpose? I can't afford ArcGIS, but don't need it since QGIS is just as powerful and often more intuitive...but neither lend themselves to making online maps very easily. Just wanted to see if anyone else has any experience or opinions on the topic. Thanks for your thoughts!
