Hello! I'm new here and new to urbex all together. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting permission to access abandoned locations. How would you go about finding / contacting land owners for private properties? Sorry if this has been posted somewhere on the forums before, I probably missed it .

Better off putting stuff like this in the rookie forums. I believe there is a recent thread on this already.

There are threads but hard to find most of them... they're buried. Try searching for them.

Be honest and straight forward.
Looking like a pro shooter can help but I've done it looking far from it by asking the right person.
Either way you need to sell yourself.
They have to trust you.
Follow their rules if you gain in entry; ask them, don't surprise them.
Trust is built over time and by your actions.
Demos and massive remodelings are the best bet. Talk to the site super, he is god.
They have complete control of the site.
If you do it right it can lead to invites to other projects they do.
Wear high top lace up boots and look like your ready to go. If they think you're going to get hurt or be a pain, they'll toss you.
This has worked for me more than once... how you handle yourself and talking to the right person is everything.
However you can win every time.
Learn from your failures and carry on

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.
