Just FYI, I was invited to a culture festival in Pyongyang that I think started a day or two ago, and if I'd gone I would probably be getting drunk and high with DPR K-pop stars right now. I would've gone but there was a #metoo shakeup at my work and I couldn't figure out the right guy to ask for permission.

I know corporate culture is a big deal over there, but do you actually have to ask permission to do things in your off time? Or do you need to justify taking vacation days to your boss?

It would've been for a full week and there are some dangers associated with going there, especially as a journalist.
