I honestly thought there was only a total of 3 houses... Turned out there were 16, a processing plant, and an old dairy (oh... And a bat after taking a board off)... Score.

This place is awesome. Looks totally deserted...like a ghost town. Im always intrigued by old kitchens-6 and curtains left hanging on a window or door- 9, 10. Looks like some child might of been home schooled 18. And, 22 is a fave. Do you see the angry wolf face? Love the lighting in several of these. Good Work!

Kitchens, doors, hallways, and curtains are DEFINITELY my favorite parts. I have so many kitchens it's ridiculous; most are blah as far as the pictures. And I THINK I see the wolf face? I went back to look and noticed the two holes in the top kinda look like eyes ;)

No, I don't think it is? I don't know if it is. It's a cheap one from a thrift store :/
Yeah I think it is... Haven't pulled them up on the laptop. The exposure isn't off. Problem is you don't want to post edited them all again when you have thousands of shots. At some point you'll want to learn how to color calibrate your through put at least as far as the monitor. An older Spyder would work fine; it's almost impossible to do by eye. I'll warn you now, this has a steep learning curve... but worth the effort.
By the way that's a great bat shot. Most the images are square up and well composed. A huge improvement

THANK GOD FOR TELEPHOTO LENSES! I didn't have my 300 with me, so I had to settle for 250, but I still had to get 5 feet away which wasn't really fun considering I don't care to get rabies any time soon. I didn't have it calibrated after all; I looked up how to do it, and got it taken care of and, after I pulled some back up in PS, they were definitely too dark. THANK YOU for the compliments, I really mean that. You pointed out more for me in photography in that thread a while back than I had learned on my own in a long time on composition and everything

Posted by Big Poppa Great lighting on those indoor shots, did you just use the available light?
THANK YOU! Yes, I always do; I can't get a flash to not look like a flash to save my life. I was actually headed up a mountain that day, and passed this place by. Luckily it was really cloudy so it definitely helped a lot. Just a trusty tripod and a really slow shutter at times

You captured a lot of really good images. I think #26 is a striking composure
Learning new tricks is what it's all about; it's an endless learning. Which is one of the things that makes it fun. Rather than cop a butthurt attitude like some, you reevaluated your methods and improved you skill set and images quit drastically in a short amount of time. Easier said than done.

I still don't understand why people get that way. It's just a matter of knowing that I don't know everything, WANT to know as much as possible, and genuinely wanting to improve. I truly appreciate your compliments AND critiques; they're both helpful

Many don't take the time to read the pin ups or even try to understand the culture here then wonder why they're are being puked on when they post shit threads A locked thread(s) or sinking ships is a dead failed giveaway. Some are just plain trolls... we wuv them to death. UER is as easy or hard as someone chooses to make it.
Going through old threads you can see great images from members long gone. You can learn from their images. It pays to wonder around this site. NickSan had a great eye for shooting... and style.
