Subaru.... need that AWD for our winters up here around the lakes! Helps to have a hatchback to sleep in, too.

I just make use of public transportation most of the time. No trouble with gas or parking, but the downside rises for those more remote spots haha.

Someone on here said, they use Greyhound to get near to where they are exploring. Thought that was pretty creative.

before I came to new york I had POS Ford Focus, one of the most awful cars I've ever driven and it was a 2013 so also the newest. The transmission would just stop so often that I just went with my friend and his car instead. In NYC the transit goes out pretty far so I just use that now and if I have to I can just get Uber or Turo.

I just bought a 2011 Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor, it's still got the spotlights and that nice comfy back plastic seating. Who is gonna question a "cop" car parked outside a bando? Probably everyone

2011 Subaru Legacy. Sound system is great. Much to the dismay of the people that crafted it, I don't play K-Pop.

One of these things. Whether it be 100 miles or around the block. I'd take a bicycle over a large beastly vehicle any day. Obviously I operate a bit differently if with friends or traveling really really far (depending). But solo... Choosing the bike.

My go to exploration rig is my '90 Bronco

1.

2.

3. When I'm doing low-key explores I'll sometimes take my '95 Honda VT1100.

They can both stand out, especially in the city so when I really don't want to draw attention I'll take my '05 focus, which is so generic and inconspicuous I don't even have a single picture of it.

Take nothing but Nazi VHS tapes, leave nothing but footprints, drink nothing but Dos Equis. Stay thirsty my friends.

I'm on my bike quite a bit when not running errands or going to work, so a great deal of my exploration is done while riding.

Its a 2018 Indian Scout Sixty and is quite a bit quieter than most of my other vehicles.

My daily is a 2003 Impreza with a forester lift and off road tires. I'm far less nervous about leaving it parked somewhere near where I'm exploring. It has a fairly loud exhaust so I need to be more careful and down here Subaru's are not common so it sticks out a bit.

Why would they care? Not that most people who listen to K-pop are old enough to own a car.

Ironically enough I drive my Ford Explorer to my explores. Usually park a few streets away from where I'm going and walk from there.

For solo, bike. It feels easier to manage than a car for some reason, even if it’s more (literal) legwork. Alternatively, a combo of public transportation in the general direction and then walking for hours.

I have also done it with a rental car once or twice. Never my own vehicle. (Disclaimer: the cars were not rented for this purpose).

My lifted Subaru crosstrek with steel bumpers, a winch and a roof top tent. It will go almost anywhere I want to and has relatively good gas milage.

So, I went from the V-Strom to something a tad ridiculous...
2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure...

This thing is nuts... 160hp... thankfully also has traction control.
