Posted by blackhawk Ryanpics are you 13 years old? I was well into exploring at that age.

Yeah. It's good to see some young faces getting interested in the local history around them, but unfortunately you're unlikely to find anyone willing to explore with you here for at least five years.
It's nothing against you- even the "asking for handouts" can be forgiven at your age, because you are still
way more agreeable than I was online when I was 13. When I was your age I was getting into daily flame wars on small gaming forums, deliberately provoking drama for shits and giggles, and received two strikes from the head game dev himself for instigating problems. When it comes to online faux pases made by 13 year olds, I don't really have the moral high ground to hold grudges.
The reason you'll be hard pressed to find other explorers is because you're a minor. A 13 year old and a 20/30/40+ year old entering an abandoned building together is how you get child endangerment charges, because involving minors makes every legal issue more serious. Most explorers won't meet up with anyone under 18 just to be safe.
That being said, we still welcome photos and stories of your explorations, and if you bide your time you'll be well established by the time you're ready to join the greater community offline. Believe me, I started exploring at 16. I know the struggle well.
But hey, being young isn't
all bad! Legal punishments for minors are far more lenient than they are for adults, and if you're ever caught you can play the "dumb teenager who didn't know any better" card to get out of trouble. It worked for me.
So don't be discouraged if people don't meet up with you for a few years. You don't strictly
need to meet up with another FM to obtain FM status- you just have to post a few more exploration photos for longer in order to establish yourself. Just hang in there and keep exploring, because your photos are already pretty good.
