But i'll tell you, nothing digital even comes close to the feeling of pulling a plate out of the tank, finding its exposed reasonably well, the emulsion slightly peeling on the sides, the imperfections. Nothing comes close to seeing your picture on a piece of glass.



Not so much with film, but I can definitely relate to you being very tactile. That is, "that feeling" you get when results are produced with your own 2 hands....

I appreciate everyone's comments in this thread. I don't think film is a choice for me, but I do at least now have a firm understanding of why many of you use it, and some of you swear by it.

Next question is, it's 2019. Why aren't we posting smellographs and holograms by now?! Well, maybe skip the smellographs.....




Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.
