| | | Posted by /-/ooligan Assuming those computers still survive intact, someone needs to make an anonymous tip to the school district or whoever owns the old school that they're sitting there, starting to be worth some $$ & staring to have some historic significance, even if just refurbished & put on-display in schools so that the current generation can see how us old-timers did work & amused ourselves when not outside our caves hunting dinosaurs for dinner.
| I have refurbished plenty of Apple II series computers, and these unfortunately are not worth that much. Capacitors from that era tend to leak even in the best storage conditions, and the extreme midwest temperatures would have accelerated the damage. Over time the logic board traces can go bad in the presence of moisture. The ROMs on the board are probably salvageable, but those aren't worth the hassle of extraction. Rare expansion cards that the Apple II had for education, such as SCSI controllers or adaptive peripherals are highly sought after by collectors. But, yes, I did look and no, there wasn't anything more than an 80 Column Card and 5.25" disk controller card.

| | | Posted by Max Power @strangeplaces The debunking of these conspiracy theories is a major blow to the #maxpowerbad movement.
| But it was your bm. How you conduct yourself here largely determines your outcome. That vid of yours I saw was terrible* and the last. Just cause you're selling don't mean anyone is buying. You been a quiet member for almost 2 years and now you're bum rushing us. Why? *What killed it for me was your lame attitude and you continued doing it in your posts. If you're going to grandstand here it better be funny and transparent or this is what will happen. You got called on it and still you blame everyone except the perp; you.
