Posted by Mr. "D" As someone who's in Cobourg often and drives by this place a few times a month, I'm really surprised it hasn't been torn down. It's just being left to rot away year after year, which is shame because it's a beautiful building, especially the interior. Very sad really.

I entirely agree. There's a lot of potential for something really cool to happen with the place, but I doubt we'll ever see that.
I haven't been inside for 10ish years, but it was rough even back then. Restoration costs would be prohibitive, and realistically, what could you use the place for? Luxury apartments, maybe. Here's hoping they do something with it.
