Thanks!

That was no doll, that was my Uncle Dirtnap*! <rimshot!>. The walking man is a TV repairman ressurrected from the dead after the end of the world for a television out service call. He's wearing a biohazard helmet.

Yeah, it's very hard to see what's happening since it's so teeny. I might finish it ...one day... and post a better quality completed version for you to see.

I'll check out your films when time permits and tell you what I think of them.

*Uncle Dirtnap is a corpse I built. He's a better actor than Keanu.

Curious Cat: I like the cemetery flick (haven't seen the other yet). Nice boneyards y'have down south. Nicely put together.

Dave: I can't see yours. I tried to download that DIVX dealie, but my machine times out before it's finished.

Duke: Super cheesey, but very well shot and edited. Man, that guy's gonna burn the woods down with his careless smoking habits!

I think i should make a suggestion...i think films should be put in a format that everyone can see. it makes it easier to have people review them and give you good critiques...

its like anything in life...if ya make it too hard noone will bother.

a good compression proggie i have found is sorenson squeeze...easily found on ares or other p2p's

not only does it compress a multitude of formats like mp4, wma, wva, mov, avi and dv but its great if you want to switch formats too. has a load of features and compression options.

check it out.

Ben, sorry, no. It's not finished yet. I should get on that. I started it in 1998.

Yeah, I haven't been able to get it to work here either. If you'd like, PM me and I can mirror it on my site at least until everyone here gets to see it. I have tons of monthly bandwidth I am not using. (Or if you'd rather not, that's cool with me... just thought I'd offer.)

UNCLE Dirtnap's body was left in an abandoned YMCA (in a sauna room) for other explorers and the demolition crew to find. and they did.

New camera, with intervalometer, an experiment:

http://wikkit.com/clouds320x240_5fps.mov (5.9MB)

My hunch that 1 frame per minute wasn't often enough turned out to be correct. The clouds were really booking; at 25 fps they just scream by.

edit: damn smiley

Yes, time lapse. The intervalometer is the automatic part of the camera that makes it take a picture so often. I can set my camera to take a picture every 1 to 60 minutes, and take 2 to 100 of those photos.

That movie is 100 frames, eash taken 1 minute apart, plafed back at 5 frames per second. I also ran the same 100 frames at 8 and 25 fps, but they both go too fast. I'd like to do something that moves slow enough that I could run it at 12 fps, the speed of most cartoons.

heres my latest if you haven't seen it...just putting it on here to get the bal rolling
this is my first solo creation...it was a project for getting my film steady.
just started working with this new software and my abandoned house film footage sucked cause it was all moved and unsteady. so i thought i would never ever lose footage again because i can't keep my hands steady so i went to this cemetary and shot and tried(operative word: tried) to keep my nikon 5400 steady. this is what came out:
http://wwwfiles.my...ementary5_100k.mpg

little experiment we did with final cut pro for using many different windows...in other words a collage of videos..and what better than the brady bunch? lol

the guys i work with are gay and super funny so if you have no sense of humor don't bother:
http://wwwfiles.my...red/brady_300k.mov

p.s. i made them get into girls outfits... hahahaha!

edit for major mispellings

yeah that happens when you compress the video, i made mine go from avi to mpeg and the quality went way down.

yeah thats because of the compression. unfortnately my program only does .mpeg and that already has pretty bad quality. then compressing it down to 12 mb just makes it alll even worse. hopefully if i can get a better comp i can render it all to .avi and that will keep the quality ...thats why the brady one looks so good.
