Two weeks ago I did get feeling that I just must return to this hydro power plant. Someone have let word spread (it wasn’t me, I haven’t share this with anyone), it have become kind of tourist location which means that it have loose LOT of that what it were few years ago. And yeah, almost everything that can be break have been broken. So it is always sad mood… and at same time it still is so amazing building to be in. These are from two trips. First I did get there with my sister at saturday morning, and sunday afternoon I did return there alone.

I can easily understand why you returned. Seems like a nice place to explore. I've always been a fan of those industrial spiral stairs but have never seen a set in person. Nice pictures!

Beautiful set Wolfheart
The image #slow stillness do you know what those devices on the floor are?
I'm guessing oil filled capacitors but they are unlike any I've ever seen.
Really sad to see this site get trashed.

Great stuff, Wolfheart...love that industrial decay! It's sad there's so many idiots willing to destroy and vandalize, but I can see why there's such an urge to return. That spiral staircase is a nice treat; I've not seen many in my own explores.
Hope you had a great weekend, cheers to you! 😃

I love those spiral stairs to, they have that something. And that place is over all something that... it's hard to keep myself off from there. Thank you very much.

Thank you! And what comes to those stairs... they are amazingly small, like it's bit hard to use them with tripod at it's longest position. I've wonder why, but probably people have been bit smaller at early 1900s than today.

Must say that I don't know. Somehow I feel they could be something like batteries, but probably ain't? Someone with more understanding should make us wiser. And they really are.

Yeah, those spiral stairs are rare thing to catch, I know just 1 other industrial building where are if not completely, at least almost similar stairs. Sad, because they just are so beautiful things.

And thank you very much, I wish that too - we will have traditional halloween parties starting pretty soon. I will cheer then!

Best way is to look for a spec plate or manufacturer name on it.
My guess is a resistor or capacitor bank.
That 50 Hertz (cycles per second) sync meter is very cool.
This was a 50 not 60 HZ station. Interesting.
In the US only electric RRs run on 50 HZ all consumer is 60 HZ.
