Once more we dive into my embarrassingly large backlog of photo sets I need to edit and post, this time with two farmhouses I hit on the same day. I first saw these a year or two back but never had the chance or time to follow up on them until quarantine, so I drove out to check them out on a grey and drizzly day and was not disappointed.
The first of these was abandoned sometime in the 1990's at the earliest as far as I can tell, and time had not been kind to it. I imagine in a few more years the whole thing will collapse.

The second house was likely abandoned sometime in the 1950's or so based on the appliances and news clippings left behind, though the house aged surprisingly well. The news articles scattered across the bedrooms aged... somewhat less well, to put it mildly.

All in all it was a successful exploration despite the dreary weather, and these farmhouses were both cool finds. I must say I'm fonder of the first one though, if only for the cool natural decay.
